In other words, yes-
I did get quite a bit wrong in my orignal journals detailing my opinions on this chapter. Just goes to show that this chapter was a little bit confusing at the end.
So because of that, I, firstly, would like to dedicate this journal to my old CroMa friends

and
Since I was having some tension with them over the past few days thanks to the new chapter and now that the translations are out, its pretty clear that they were right. *laughs*
(And now Rolos has learned the lesson of keeping her mind and opinions open. ...Yes, I still do sometimes act like a child still.)
Either way, here is the link to the english chapter~!

a lot!I can now see the reasoning behind Spirit telling Crona about the parent-child bond having had the power to defeat Crona in the end. Although I still think that the plot device that is the "parent-child bond = power to defeat Crona" could have been used better.
(But I'll get to that when I make my rant journal about the whole Crona vs Maka battle.)
Yet the thing I was most surprised about was the last part with Crona.
During the scenes I thought he was screaming in pain (and horror at what was suddenly happening), its clear now that he was doing the opposite:
He was laughing! This puts a whole new spin on what could have been going on in that scene.
I mean, just take a moment.
Remember that Crona commented before that he had the power to resonate his soul with Asura.
And doing so would give him loads more power than he already had.
If you were in Crona's boots during the moment he was defeated, wondering how in the world such BULLSHIT was possible only to be told that it was through parent-child bonds and you didn't accept that logic (because through Crona's reaction, it seems he decided he was going to reject that explaination as fact) then, would you try for your last ditch effort to beat them?
To try to gain more power than you just had if it only meant defeating them?
Well I think Crona chose to go that route then. He rejected what was being told to him, and decided he still wanted to beat them no matter what. He just needed that extra power that is Asura.
So he resonated his soul with Asura.(Which would explain the 'Thump' sound right before Crona begins to laugh, only for Crona to suddenly clutch his chest in pain as Asura's soul began to resonate with his. Ergo why Crona continues to laugh even through the pain and everything happening to his body during the next few pages.)
I believe that because Asura and Crona share Black Blood, that by resonating their souls, they MERGED into one being at that moment.
Why else only show Asura's eye in the last panel?
Because we aren't going to be shown the whole form yet-- the NEW form of Kishin Asura/Crona.
So, in conclusion-
Good News: Crona isn't dead!
Bad News: But if Maka wants to save Crona, she will have to try to seperate Crona from the link he has made with Asura. Or else he will die if Asura is killed.
Ya know whats ironic?
Z-Raid unintentionally for told this part of the comic series

Isn't that convenient?
But in all seriousness it isn't as bad as I thought it originally was when I looked at the raw, but still pretty freaking bad.
yet....Let's just hope that his death will be one that is actually good then. (With him helping Maka or something. I can only hope, you know... Okubo better get something right.)
That and Kid is almost to the moon, so he will be able to help fight Asura/Crona!
YES!! Man, it is taking Kid forever to get there..... GOD. I swear, Atsushi is trying to block me from my Kid x Crona action.
